The starwheel is used as a “separator” to pick up unwanted materials from the beach leaving the sand intact, rubbish recycling etc. Individual starwheels which comes in various sizes will be fixed on to machines normally with a square holder through the centre.  Superior cost advantage (Longwe wear life) and performance (Various Polyurethane grades for most abrasive engineering application( have led to many instances of Polyurethane replacing metal, rubber, wood, and plastic.
