The dampener/stopper is used to absorb the impact of equipment etc. Normally it is fixed at one end (fixed) while the equipment is mobile moving towards it. Superior cost advantage (Longer wear life) and performance (Various Polyurethane grades for most abrasive engineering application) have led to many instances of Polyurethane replacing metal, rubber, wood and plastic.
